I would just like to start off by saying that this jacket fits well and there are some reviews that I have read giving it a low amount of stars and saying that the pockets aren't real. Perhaps they got a defective jacket but all of the pockets on mine are functional and real. It is pretty durable and water seems to bead off of it although I imagine like anything water will get through eventually especially if you're swimming with it. The fleece interior is very warm and comfortable. I see in other reviews as well that they mentioned the zipper is on the "wrong" side. The zipper mechanism is on the left hand side instead of the right hand side which really doesn't matter to me it functions I am not concerned with zipper etiquette. Some people are led to believe that this is a woman's jacket because the zipper is on the left, well I've seen soft shell jackets for women as I bought some for my partner and they are usually pleated around the upper chest and armpit area to allow room for breasts. This jacket is not pleated in such a way so I would say that's wrong. Although women can wear the jacket I'm just saying it does not possess that pleat that allows extra room for lady parts I would love if this had an attachable Hood as it does not the hood is permanently attached but can be rolled away although I'm not sure why you would want to anyway but you can you have options. That does not detract from the quality of the jacket in any way as it is not stated as having a removable Hood so there's no reason to deduct a star for that. This jacket will keep you warm it will keep you protected and it looks good. It's true to size as far as I can say and the material is satisfactory. It does have pull cords within to adjust the fit of the jacket as well as the hood and in other reviews I have taken note that they report their jacket not having retention clasps for the chords but mine does. Again I don't know if they got it defective jacket or if this jacket has changed and the company has fixed the issues. But that being said my jacket is complete and it has everything the bad reviews say it does not so quite happy with it.

This product is designed very well it’s terrible and it does everything that it says it will do. The size is a little tight, but I can still wear it. I recommend this product but if you want it loose, you might wanna buy one size bigger.

So I’m 510 and 245 ish, I ordered the 2XL and it fits good, XL would’ve “fit” better but this is an outer layer that breaks the wind and keeps water off of you, so with the 2xl I’m able to wear layers under it to keep me warm. I wear this over a viktos chest rig and was still comfortable. Pros: hoodie can roll up and be tucked away Really like the cuff adjustment Pit zips to let out heat The location of the front hand pockets, I’ve had others that had the pockets too far to the rear and made it uncomfortable Last thing is the hood and collar, large and sticks out far enough to cover the brim of your hat There are other things but these are my favorites Cons: the pit zips, if you’re wearing short sleeves under this and it’s cold out, these zippers are just as cold Although it has plenty of pockets, I believe the one on the left sleeve at your wrist is pointless imo, I can’t think of anything I would store there other than some kind of paper, anything with any weight will twist the sleeve, can’t stand to feel something twisted. Would’ve been better to have an exterior chest pocket for a cell phone imo. On the bottom of the main front zipper, it has 2 zippers? Maybe this serves a legit purpose that I’ve not seen but for me, it’s aggravating sometimes trying to get it unzipped because they have to be perfect for it to come off. I’ll probably try and take one of them off. Overall I really like it, especially price wise,

the company i work for provides a winter coat but its too warm for anything above freezing. i was looking for something lighter to wear when its in the 40s and 50s. i have a couple other soft shell jackets but for work i needed a black jacket. the price was right on this and the soft shell material is great when its raining or windy and i have to get in and out of the vehicle. its warm enough for wearing when its in the 40s but i dont overheat when i get back in the vehicle. the material stretches with you, which is great for driving. the sizing doesnt seem to take into account anything other than a tshirt underneath. following the sizing chart, i initially ordered a medium and it was fine the first day when i was wearing a work tshirt. but it was too tight if i put on a work sweatshirt. so i ordered a large and im sending the medium back. the large is much better suited for anything i'd wear under it. the hood is a nice touch, especially with the little visor to help keep rain out of your face. overall im very happy with the jacket and would recommend it.

I ordered 2 of these jackets, one khaki and one in red. The khaki one was perfect. The second one I got had a reverse zipper where the puller was on the left side instead of the right side. That’s unusual unless it’s a women’s jacket which it isn’t. I assume women’s zippers are like buttons and on the opposite side from a men’s garment. Kinda annoying.

Im really impressed with this jacket. It has a very heavy soft shell material. It is fleece lines. The sleeves have a great velcro and elastic cuff. Lots of pockets. Double material over elbow area. I have had lots of big name soft shell jackets and this is ever bit if not better then those big name brands. I bought this jacket to wear for adventure riding motorcycles. I have the big heavy expensive ADV jackets and hate them! I have started using the Alpinestar bionic V3 armor with chest protector. I am 5'11" and 240 lbs. I am very muscular and the XL fits me wearing my AplineStar Bionic V3 chest protector with elbow and back pad system and the XL fit perfectly over it all with a T-shirt and jersey on. I would and may buy another one of these jackets. This is not a rain jacket and it is obvious looking at the regular zipper that it is not a waterproof due to having a normal zipper. The first thing I did was water proof the jacket with spray on water proofing. It will be good enough for me.

I live in Fl and needed a jacket that could cover the temperature variability we see on a day that starts out in the 30's and ends up in the 60's. This jacket does this perfectly. It seems to be largely based on the design of the Ranger hoodie which runs about $265. This one doesn't have the Polartec fleece, but it includes virtually all of the other features and adds pit zips which I don't think the Ranger version has. There are lots of reviews here on features so I'll just hit on some of the weird stuff. The Hood - It has a Velcro-attached band designed to secure the hood, if folded away. This is a fail, as it looks ridiculous when folded or rolled up. The hood looks fine hanging on the back and if you don't want a hood, this company makes a similar jacket without a hood. Hunter Pocket - The jacket has a huge, double zipper pocket on the back. Kind of unfamiliar to most but its useful for keeping a knit cap or gloves. Inside Pockets - This jacket really doesn't have any. There are sleeves inside, on both sides, that are made of a breathable material and are not sewn on the bottom. These are really the pockets for the outside of the jacket. The breathable material allows another way to vent heat by unzipping the front slash pockets if you are working and starting to sweat. If the bottoms of the sleeves were sewn closed, and you stored items in there, this would partially block the venting and use of the outside pockets. I found that the slash pocket locations were fine for keeping my hands warm and didn't vent too much heat when the zips were open. Ranger Eyes - The jacket has 3 1"x1" Velcro patches sewn on. The military uses similar patches to attach IR reflective patches for night ops. Civilians use these to attach small 1" morale patches. Quality - When I buy anything made of fabric, I usually spend 30 minutes cutting all the loose thread ends off and looking for buggered seams. I found virtually none on this jacket. The jacket is well designed and they found a Chinese factory who did a quality job of sewing this together. If the fabric holds together, I look forward to wearing this for a long time.

I live in Montana and bought this for late fall thru early spring working outside. I have also used this for hiking during those times. I put this jacket through -20F to 45F in rain, snow, wet snowy rain, wind and sunshine. Bottom line is I liked it more than I didn't and for $40 I'm happy. BTW I bought the Army green version. If you are thinking about buying this, I feel like this is important to know: 1 - It's a softshell outer jacket - Not a winter coat. It is parka style meaning it comes down below the buttox and has 2 zippers on the front. 2 - It's not waterproof - It is water repellant and did a good job in wet snow keeping me dry on a daily basis. It dried out fairly quicky when hung by a fire. 3 - It's a really weird coat! PROS: Looks awesome! Lots of zippered pockets (which is also a con) Sleeve length was perfect and the bottom didn't rise up above my waist when reaching overhead. Loved the construction of the hood with the reinforced bill and the adjustable straps for both the hood and bottom of the jacket. The armpit zippers is why I bought this in the first place! Very thin layer of fleece on the inside. Snowshoeing at -10F with a base layer and the arm pit zippers open, I was plenty warm! Which is what I was looking for in jacket. CONS: The fit was off for me. Not by a lot, just a really small portion that didn't warrant ordering a larger size because then it would be way to big. It was tight in the shoulders and arms were super tight. No way you are getting cell phone in any of those arm pockets. Zippers are not seam sealed No stretch to the material Velcro cuff tighteners - yeah.....I don't see that lasting in the rain for more than a couple years. Not for hunting - this is the noisiest jacket I own! It is loud when you move! If you wear a short sleeved shirt under the jacket you can feel the cold armpit zippers on your inner arm. WEIRD: The elbows or perhaps forearms have a reinforced outer layer. But it doesn't come to the elbows on me or completely cover my forearms (for when I am crawling I guess?) It has these 2 inner pockets? Or for some other purpose that I can't figure out because it is not sewn on the bottom (see pic) So it stores nothing. You have these random weird velcro patches on the bottom of the jacket and back of the hood that I have no idea what they are for. I am guessing the weird velcro pocket on the inside of the hood is for you to roll up the hood, but why would you? Zippered back pockets - I can't even reach them! Not even sure what the purpose of them being there is other than to transport gear which I wouldn't do because the coat is not fully waterproof. Might be good for storing some cans of beer though on a hike. Inner cinching strings for the hood run along the inner coat into the kangaroo pockets. Easy to get this caught or torn (see pics) The jacket is weird, but it has worked well so all is good.
