Having used Spider brand Boxer Briefs for years, it only made sense to try out their base layer stuff when I lost my Polartech base layer stuff. As soon as I opened the package I noticed a difference from my old polartech stuff. The Spider base layer had some weight to it, but not as much as an insulated base layer set. It's very comfortable and soft. It does run a bit large tho, but it may shrink up after a hot wash I am 5'-9" tall and 180lbs so I wear large in everything, but a medium would have given the fit that's really ideal for a base layer. The Top : Very comfortable, the sleeves are adequate length, and the length of the top actually hangs about 6" below my waist,and fits loose in the chest..I wear a 42R jacket I believe. The bottoms : comfortable : elastic is smooth and not tight, length is good for a 5'-9" tall man.

Nicely made, but for me the top fits good but the bottoms are too big. As an under layer, I prefer them to be snug. These bottoms are loose all over and also too long for me. I ordered a Medium, which is my usual size. 5’10”, 170 lbs with 30-32 waist, 30 inseam and 42 chest. The small bottoms would likely fit me better, but would then need to purchase separately. Sort of a lightweight to medium level of warmth. Very good price for the set, however, so not upset overall. Haven’t washed yet but don’t really expect shrinkage given the materials
