I am a big fan of the BALEAF brand and have had good experiences with many of their other pieces, but unfortunately this hoodie is a pass for me. I normally wear an XL, but I usually order an XXL in athletic tops because I don’t like my clothing feeling clingy while I am walking or hiking. Even in the XXL, this hoodie fits tighter through the chest than I prefer. The overall cut feels more fitted than I expected, so I would definitely keep that in mind if, like me, you prefer a little extra room. My biggest issue, though, is the fabric. The grid fleece has an almost gummy feeling to me, and I found it itchy against my skin. Instead of feeling soft and cozy like I expect from a fleece thermal top, I was very aware of the texture while wearing it. Comfort is especially important to me in something I plan to wear for walking or hiking, so this was a dealbreaker. There are some thoughtful features, including the reflective details, zippered pocket, thumbholes, hood, and smartwatch opening. I can see the practicality behind the design, particularly for walking or running in lower light. Unfortunately, those features aren’t enough to overcome the fit and fabric for me. I usually really like BALEAF clothing, so I was disappointed that this one didn’t work out. Between the snugger chest and the gummy, itchy feel of the material, this is one I wouldn’t reach for.

This baleaf fleece hoodie is perfectly weighted. The shirt hangs well, flattering the waist but not snug at the belly. The side pockets are more flattering than front pockets (which add bulk at the belly). The arms are long enough to use the thumb elastic (not long enough to cover the hands). The watch hole is a great additional feature! The hood hangs well, without pulling at the neck. The reflective details highlight the shape of the shirt; none are oddly placed. The weight of the fabric makes it a perfect layering shirt, or a lighter sweatshirt for cool days or indoor use. This shirt is super flattering and comfortable.

I love Baleaf - they are my go to for my athletic and athleisure wear. Though their gear is a little pricey, I guarantee you the quality is always worth it. You will tire of their clothing before you wear it out. This top fits true to size with a pretty snug fit. If you are looking for something a little looser or to wear on top of other layers, definitely size up. I am wearing a medium - my usual size - on my 5’5” 153# 36C size 8 body and it fits me well (but snug). The color and style is exactly what I envisioned based on the photos and description on the advertisement. The zippers run smoothly and the pockets are ample and plentiful. The fleece lining makes this top really warm. It is great as a base or outer layer. There is some stretch to the material but because it has the lining and is meant to be firm-fitting, don’t count on the stretch to fit you well if you were to size down. As mentioned previously, the price is high but you are paying for the excellent quality.

I really, really like this jacket. Not only is it cute, it is very functional. There are reflective designs on the arms, back, and front that keep one more visible when running outside in the dark. The thumb holes keep the sleeves from riding up during a workout. The jackets is fleece lined and warm! My favorite feature is one I’ve never seen before: there is a hole in the left sleeve where you can access your watch without pulling the sleeve up! Obviously this only works if you wear your watch on your left wrist but it is a fabulous feature! This jacket is a slim fit and fits true to size! Great jacket!
